There was plenty to see at the St Ives Fire Station's annual open day. The town has quite a number of free attractions of this sort.
There were long queues at the squirter!
Free sweets for the children.
Left: this is what happens if you pour water on a chip pan fire.

Below: demonstrations of the different types of fire extinguishers. The public too could have a go with some of them.
